The 3rd Annual Boule' on Bourbon Street
MMT is proud to have been a sponsor of the 3rd annual Boule' on Bourbon Street, a unique fundraiser to support the American Cancer Society.
On Saturday, February 27, 2010 people were able to enjoy one of the areas most unique events. When they arrived at the Classic Center Foundry, they entered the French Quarter by way of Bourbon Street, with magnificent lamp posts lighting the way, huge masks on the brick walls, vendor carts displaying a stunning array of silent auction items, and an abundance of cajun cuisine. There was an outdoor oyster roast as well as fresh beignets made onsite.
Two different musical clubs with either Live Blues or Motown entertainment and dancing made the evening unforgettable . Those who dared, visited the VooDoo Lounge for all kinds of fun and entertainment. Those who attended felt like they were right in the middle of the sights and sounds of the French Quarter.

One of our favorite and least expensive contributions!
Invite us to speak, then Lend Us Your Ears
Of all the worthy causes in which we participate, one of our favorites requires very little expense. Opportunities to speak to Business Marketing and High School Entrepreneurial classes are the greatest experiences of all. We get to explain and sell our concept to people who are not looking to buy, just looking to understand and learn. Strong customer service, a superb work staff, and the concept of quality over price are the pillars that support our organization. Teaching the importance of these practices to students equips them with the necessary tools to become competitive in any business. These would be expensive lessons for them to learn on their own.
Other Financial Support
Ongoing Financial Contributions, Large and Small
Since our inception, MMT has made made ongoing contributions to various causes. We've served on hospital special event commitees and sponsored ladies softball teams and golf tournaments. By pooling our contributions together with other corporations, we can have a larger inpact on a cause like cancer research or helping to fund new equipment for medical centers.
Even so, we've always allowed room in our budget for the smaller things that make huge impacts as well. Causes like the local fire departments burn fund drive, youth ball team sponsorships, and educational fundraisers that the school systems hold to name a few.
Our Work with Hospice Patients
We participate in many endeavors that support the ongoing construction and work of hospice programs. MMT is also an exclusive contracted transportation provider for hospice patients in our local operating division. In our long distance division, we are consistently called upon to transport these special patients across the country to fulfill their wishes of being closer to loved ones, or perhaps, closer to the place they call home.
Project Safe, Inc.
MMT supports Project Safe and its goal to end domestic violence
MMT served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for Project Safe Inc, a non-profit agency who seeks to end domestic violence through education and advocacy. During that time, we donated thousands of dollars every year to support their mission. We designed and spearheaded "Groovy Nights" a flashback to the '70's fundraiser including live and silent auctions, a customized lighted dance floor, and famous stars of the decade! Our first year, brought in $6,000 and the 5th and final year that we were involved, Project Safe walked away with over $20,000 to put toward eradicating Domestic Violence.
